Mount Taishan is the most famous Holy Mountain in Chinese Taoism. Located around 2 driving hours south of Shandong's capital city Jinan, Taishan has already been an important destination of Taoist pilgrims for over 2000 years. With a few lush temples, Taishan offers a great view of the surrounding areas. A pleasant walking trail invites to circle the summit.

For those who want to climb Taishan by foot, an approx. 9 km long stairway with over 6000 steps leads you to the top. Those who prefer it less sweaty can take the cable car which takes you near the summit.
