Jiuzhaigou is apart from the Giant Buddha in Leshan and the Panda Research Base probably Sichuan's most famous sightseeing attraction. Situated in a lovely, about 30 km long valley, it is a series of pools, waterfalls and mountain creeks.

Despite its beauty, Western travelers have always mixed feelings about Jiuzhaigou. Without any doubt, the scenery is spectacular, however, a bus system leads the visitors throug the valley with stations at the most scenic spots. Apart from that, a wooden trail leads through the valley and leaving this trail is as forbidden as smoking. Due to these reasons, there are always a high number of visitors in Jiuzhaigou.
