The Great Wall

The Great Wall of China, considered as the largest human construction, was built to protect China from the conquerors and looters from the North. First constructions started 500 BC and since then it has been a permanent construction site. Approximately more than 100´000 workers lost their lives during the centuries. The last important upgrade was during the Ming Dynasty.

Nowadays, many parts of the Great Wall are in bad condition. However, in some area massive reconstructions have been done to present the Great Wall to the visitors and at some places cable cars have been built to facilitate the access. If you visit the Great Wall with us, we will not take you to one of the overcrowded sections. We take you to a rarely visited place, where you find a combination of old and renovated Great Wall but still with an authentic "Great Wall experience".

Furthermore, we offer hikes in combination with an overnight on the Great Wall: a unique experience for every visitor! For more information, please visit the page hike and sleep on the Great Wall of China.
