Ski and Snowboard Weekend at Wanlong
Join us on these weekends for a trip to Wanlong ski resort. Wanlong also upgraded once again its slopes and offers 2 additional intermediate runs. Skiing lessons by professional Swiss ski instructor available on request!
Departure: Friday, 19:30 at the German Bakery "Cafe Konstanz" at Haoyunjie (Lucky Street). For those who want to eat something or have a drink before departure we meet in the Bodenseestube at 18:00.
Return: Sunday, approx. 19:00 at the German Bakery
Costs: RMB RMB 1930 per person in Silver Dragon Suite (small suite with 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. Ice Climbing in Qingdao
Experience one of the latest trends in winter sports: Ice Climbing!Departure Dates: 16th - 18th January 2009, 6th - 8th February 2009, 20th - 22nd February 2009
Friday Afternoon:
Flight from Beijing to Qingdao, pick-up by guide and transfer to Mount Yi (around 3 hours), overnight in local 3* hotel and dinner there
Saturday, 1st Ice Climbing Day at Yi Shan:
After a Chinese breakfast at the hotel you will be transferred to the parking spot next to the mountain. From there you will reach one of the smaller waterfalls at the edge of the mountain Yi within a 20 minutes' walk. Today you will be accompanied by a climbing guide and an English translator to teach you fundamentals such as the use of the axe and the crampons. Lunch will be a picnic. After the theory the guide will prepare a top rope route (means you climb while permanently secured by a rope above you), after this climb you will walk to a small lodge where we will have a simple, but very typical dinner.
Sunday, 2nd Ice Climbing Day at Yi Shan:
After Chinese breakfast at the lodge we will walk to the mountain. If you are not a beginner any more, we will climb through the 150 meters high "Great Waterfall"; we will be following the normal route. If you are still a beginner, the second climbing day will also consist of climbing on top rope routes. Lunch consists of a picnic again. In the afternoon we will drive back to Qingdao Airport where you can take a late flight home.
Costs: RMB 5500 per person, single supplement RMB 400
