The Litang Horse Race Festival is one of the biggest events celebrated on China's Tibetan grasslands, and Tibetans from near and far arrive as early as possible to get a good spot to set up their tents. The women are all in their most beautiful clothes with magnificent jewelry. The festival is also a good time for trade and various Tibetan-style articles are exchanged here amongst the visitors.
