Today we visit the most famous and mystic building in Tibet: the Potala Palace, winter residence of the Dalai Lama. This fabulous palace harbours countless treasures such as stupas containing relics of the Buddha and three-dimensional mandalas bejewelled with ancient turquoise, coral and other precious objects. In the afternoon we will attend the disputation held by the monks at Sera Monastery. The rest of the day is at your disposal.

Note: as an uncountable number of believers will gather in Lhasa to take part in the Saga Dawa Festival and to commemorate the birth, transcendence and death of Buddha Sakyamuni, we might have to make alterations to the itinerary during the festivities.
