In the morning, we depart Lijiang for Lugu Lake, with a lunch stop at a beautiful mountainside diner. Upon your arrival at Lugu Lake in early afternoon, you will check into your hotel, and can spend the afternoon taking boat rides, riding horses, visiting the local Mosuo Cultural Museum, etc. Lugu Lake is a large, crystal clear lake located on the border of Sichuan and Yunnan provinces, at about 3500 meters above sea level. In the evening, we will attend a performance of traditional Mosuo singing and dancing, followed by a late-night outdoor barbecue where you cook your own food over a grill while listening to (and sometimes participating in) performances of Mosuo singing.
